- In a Pressure cooker add the washed moong dal, diced carrot,green chilli, chopped onion and tomato, add 1 tsp turmeric. Pressure cook it for two whistles..
- Meanwhile in a mixer grinder add 3 tbspn grated coconut, 2 dry chillies, 1 tsp cumin and grind it into thick paste..
- Add the ground paste in the cooked moong dal mixture, add salt to taste and boil it for few mins..
- Heat oil/ ghee in small pan, add the mustard seeds in the hot oil once the mustard splutters add the dry chillies and curry leaves. Pour this in to the cooker and mix it well.
